“The Rev. Tamara Moreland, Regional Minister for the Northwest Central Region, is heading into her much-deserved sabbatical leave,” Conference Minister the Rev. Kent Siladi said. “I am pleased to announce that Rev. Rhonda Myers will cover Rev. Moreland’s Region during her sabbatical and partial vacation leave of June 24-October 8th
"Rev. Myers will continue to serve as the part-time pastor of United Congregational Church in Torrington. Rev. Myers brings wisdom and wider church experience to this position and I am grateful that she is taking on this new Conference leadership role for the sabbatical leave. I look forward to working with her in this new short-term capacity,” Siladi said.
Rev. Myers has both a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Geology and earned her MDiv in 2008 from Andover Newton Theological School while teaching part-time at Johnson State College in Vermont. She began serving part-time as the sole pastor of United Congregational Church of Torrington in 2009. Rev. Myers is the Registrar of the Litchfield North Association and a member of the Committee on Church and Ministry. She has volunteered for 5 years as a Dean and Chaplain during the summer camp season at Silver Lake Conference Center.
