HARTFORD (10/10/2016) – Conference Minister the Rev. Kent Siladi has announced that the Rev. Chuck Ericson will provide sabbatical coverage for the Rev. Tom Clough beginning in January 2017.
"I am pleased to announce that the Rev. Chuck Ericson, retired pastor of the Bolton Congregational Church has agreed to provide sabbatical coverage for the Rev. Tom Clough, the Eastern Regional Minister," said Siladi. "Rev. Clough will be on sabbatical January through March of 2017. We are grateful for Chuck’s willingness to step into this role and look forward to his leadership."
Ericson was ordained in 1980 by the Tolland Association. He served in Bolton for 32 years before retiring on June. During his three decades in the Conference, he has centered his ministry on developing youth ministry, training and equipping leaders, and reinvigorating congregational identify. He has served on numerous association and conference committees and is a former "Camp Family Dad" and dean at Silver Lake Conference Center. Ericson has also worked as a consultant to congregations and served as a facilitator of a Clergy Community of Practice.
"My life and ministry have been centered in the Eastern Region of our Conference for the past 33 years, most recently under the gifted leadership of Rev. Clough," said Ericson. "I am delighted to bring my experience and lifelong love of the UCC to the local churches and authorized ministers of the region during Tom's sabbatical."
