Nominations Sought for 2nd Annual Silver Lake Award
By Brian Lapis
The Silver Lake Conference Center Board of Directors is excited to announce that nominations for the 2nd Annual Silver Lake Award are open!
This award recognizes a “Silver Laker” who lives their life and faith in a way that reflects the formative experiences they have had at Silver Lake Conference Center. This person truly takes Silver Lake home with them beyond Low Road.
In addition to being shaped by Silver Lake, the Silver Lake Award recipient has given back time, treasure, and talent to Silver Lake, and has made a significant and sustainable contribution to the ministry of Silver Lake.
With summer registration underway, and a new challenge course being built at Silver Lake, Executive Director the Rev. Ryan Gackenheimer says now is a great time to lift up exceptional Silver Lakers.
"It is a blessing to have the Silver Lake Award to recognize more formally some of those who have been shaped so deeply by their experience of Silver Lake and have in turn lived their lives and faith in ways that have transformed the world reflecting the core values of Silver Lake,” he said.
The inaugural Silver Lake Award was presented last year to Ruth Tyrol. Read more here.
Nominations will be accepted through February 20. The winner will be announced this spring, and celebrated at an event in the fall of 2018.
Submit your nomination online. Printed nomination forms are available at Silver Lake Conference Center. Written nomination forms may be sent to Silver Lake Award, SLCC, 223 Low Rd., Sharon, CT 06069.
