Editor's Note: Conference Minister the Rev. Kent J. Siladi recently sent the following letter, along with two brochures detailing Conference ministries, to local churches:
Jesus needs a new vision of the Body of Christ.  God invites us to live the love and justice of Jesus!

Our Conference was created for mission.  Our very name, “Missionary Society of Connecticut” conveys our purpose.  In its beginning the impulse was evangelism and the spreading of the Gospel to make God’s Love real.  Both the Conference and Association structures were created to express the reality that we need one another, are accountable to one another, and that these connections are vital to our shared ministry.

We invite your church’s ongoing support.
  • We can do more together than any one church can do by itself.  There is power in the assembled or gathered church.
  • We are committed to strengthening the local church.
  • There is value in our sharing best practices among our leaders and churches.
  • We provide programs that equip ministries.
  • We provide direct support to local churches.
  • Our commitment to compassion and justice is central to who we are.
  • We have power to speak as a Body.
We invite commitment, participation, and financial supportWe hope you will help spread the word about, invite and encourage involvement with, and advocate for financial support for the ministries of the Connecticut Conference.  We have included overviews of our ministry funding.

Right now, we are specifically asking you to make sure that per capita contributions and generous OCWM Basic Support Giving are a part of your financial plan for 2019.

Thank you.
