UCC Responds To Violence In Baton Rouge

Leaders of the United Church of Christ responded Tuesday to the killing of three police officer in Baton Rouge, LA on July 17. The pastoral letter offers prayers for the victims and families, and calls for churches and communities to become partners in the fight to end violence.


Help Furnish SLCC's Newly Renovated Lodge

Silver Lake is seeking donations to help furnish the newly renovated Lodge. Through a new Razoo online campaign, the Conference Outdoor Ministry site is looking to raise $20,000 to help outfit the Lodge with furniture, beds, lamps, and tables.

Annual Meeting Speaks Out On Restrooms, Minimum Wage, Greenhouse Gases

Delegates to the 149th Annual Meeting of the Connecticut Conference called on churches to provide gender neutral restrooms, support a $15 an hour minimum wage and take action to reduce greenhouse gases. They also voted to increase the per capita rate paid by churches to the Conference setting from $8 to $10 in 2017.


Conference Sends Teams to Orlando to Offer Support, Witness

The Connecticut Conference is sending two teams of first responders to Orlando, Florida, to offer care, support and public witness following the mass shooting that left 50 people dead and 53 wounded, most of them part of the gay Latino/a community.
