Thank you so much for wanting to register for the February 2019 Conference-Wide racial justice training. Unfortunately, however, this training is filled to capacity and we are not accepting any additional participants. Please check back in the near future for the summer and fall 2019 training dates. Thank you, again, for your commitment to racial justice.
This "From Tolerance to Unity" training is an eight-hour day where we seek to unmask racism, create a common language around issues of racism, and inspire people to do more work to eradicate racism. We will spend the day engaging in this sacred work, creating a brave space for the conversations to be held.
Content will include the Four Realms of Racism, and the Inclusivity Spectrum. We will accomplish our work through small-group exercises, articles, videos, music, and much more to develop a firmer understanding of how racism is sustained, maintained, and perpetuated, so that way we can work toward its unmasking, dismantling, and eradicating racism in all its realms.
The training is an all day event (8 hours) and lunch will be provided. Under the racial justice resolution adopted in 2018 all CTUCC clergy are required to attend a racial justice training every 3-5 years. However, this event is not exclusive to members of the clergy, staff and lay-persons are welcome and encouraged to attend. For this reason we use a tiered pricing structure of $25 for lay-persons and $50 for CTUCC clergy.
