Next Steps Workshops
are designed for Christian Education and Formation Leaders, for Clergy, for Congregational Leaders and others who want to vitalize, improve, deepen or enrich your ministry of faith formation. Formerly known as Stepping Stones
, Next Steps
offers workshops that engage strategies and ideas for leaders in the 21st century church.
Join us on Tuesday evening, October 16, 2018, at the John P. Webster Library
located at 12 S. Main ST., West Hartford. The library is our co-sponsor for the evening's event! Director Jennifer DeSimas welcomes you to arrive a bit early to familiarize yourself with the many wonderful resources available in their collection.
The first workshop in our 2018-19 series is Retreats that Renew and Refresh!
Come and explore creative ideas for your next retreat! Icebreakers, discussion questions, theme outlines and craft ideas. Retreats-from 2 hours to 2 days and longer- can encourage participants to nourish their weary spirits and strengthen their bond with God and one another in new ways! Come and discover how. You'll leave with tools, ideas, and new enthusiasm for retreats, workshops and small group discussions with adults and youth.
Our program will be led by the Rev. Dr. Sue Foster of the East Woodstock Congregational Church. She is the author of the new book, Retreats to Go! -
which will be available for purchase that evening. Sue has over 30 years of experience in leading retreats, small group discussions, and creative worship. She has led retreats at retreat centers, in private homes, and on a windjammer schooner, in church halls and backwoods cabins.
