Confirmation retreats

Becoming and Belonging- What Matters?!

The journey of discovery to the moment of Confirmation is a varied one. Youth learn more deeply who they are and whose they are in the context of belonging.  The CT Conference offers a series of retreats each year to support one aspect of this journey more fully, belonging to the wider faith community.  Most appropriate for youth in grades 7-9 during their Confirmation year, these weekends are facilitated by trained teams of pastors and educators from throughout our state who work with youth in their own settings. These retreats offer youth an opportunity to discover, learn, and play together as they form deeper bonds and connections within their groups and with others.

The Connecticut Conference sponsors four Confirmation Retreats annually, hosted at the beautiful Silver Lake Conference Center in Sharon, CT.  If your church's group could benefit from a retreat experience with others on the journey toward Confirmation, these retreats were intended for you. Each retreat includes church leaders and youth from across our state. For your safety, we require one adult advisor for each 8 (eight) youth of each gender. Advisors must be 21 years of age or older.

Groups should plan to arrive on Friday evening by 7 PM.

Our full weekend retreat program begins on Friday night at 7:30 pm and ends before noon on Sunday. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided on Saturday, and brunch is served on Sunday.
