Chuck Ericson began serving the churches and clergy of the Eastern Region of the Connecticut Conference upon the retirement of the Rev. Dr. Thomas Clough. It is familiar territory for Chuck, as he was actively involved in the Tolland Association for three decades, and also held this interim position during Tom’s three-month sabbatical in early 2017. He brings to this role a lifelong love of our United Church of Christ and a commitment to nurturing healthy clergy-church relationships and thriving congregations.
Chuck graduated from Trinity College in 1977 with a BS in Psychology, and received his M.Div. from Andover Newton Theological School in 1980. After serving as Associate Pastor at First Church in Fairfield for 3 years, and the Bolton Congregational Church for over 32 years, Chuck retired to Southwest Harbor, Maine (near Acadia National Park) in 2016, where he and his wife Jane love hiking and cross-country skiing and learning what it means to be active church members in their new home church in Somesville, Maine. They are also happy to be back in Connecticut for a time where they can be close to children and grandchildren as Chuck serves the Eastern Region of our Conference.
