Proposed Changes to the UCC Constitution

On July 2 and 3, 2017 the Thirty-first General Synod adopted a series of amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws of the United Church of Christ dealing with the relationship between the United Church of Christ and the United Church of Canada, on authorized ministry and relating to the structure of the Board of Directors and National Setting.

The 38 Conferences of the Church are now required to ratify the changes to the Constitution before those Constitutional changes may be implemented. (REF Article XIII, ¶74 of the Constitution (2015 ed.))

At the Tri Conference Annual Meeting on June 16, 2018, during the CT Conference UCC plenary the CT Conference will vote to ratify these changes.
