There are apple pies, pie charts, even pizza pies, but never has there been a P.I.E. like the Partner In Education consultants who are now available to serve local churches in the Connecticut Conference. They are Christian educators, trained by the United Church Board for Homeland Ministries to assist local church leaders in creating new recipes for Christian education using a variety of fresh, innovative combinations of homegrown ingredients. They are working in concert with Conference staff. Each one has his or her daily ministry in a local church, but has volunteered to be trained by UCBHM to act as a special resource to other local churches who are considering a change in curriculum, engaging in long range planning, hiring new staff, or just adjusting future needs.

Things are bubbling up all over as curricula change to meet changing demands and habits in local church ministry. Adult education is on the rise, and the demand is there for savory discussion; churches are clamoring for new tools to tempt youth to hunger after Christ; Christian education boards are asking for help and advice in keeping kids safe while in their care! The need is great for expert help to lead churches to the resources unique to their setting. P.I.E. consultants can offer program topics that may include, but are not limited to:
