The amendment restores the Bylaw to its original intent before the 2004 amendments. Previously this paragraph read that notice should be mailed as required above. In making the change last year, the word “delivered” was used erroneously in the desire to include electronic communication as an acceptable form. Because of the vagaries of the U.S. Postal Service, delivery cannot be guaranteed to meet the bylaw requirement. However, we can ensure that notices are “sent” as required.
The Board of Directors recommends the following amendment to the Bylaws of the Conference:
Notice in writing of the place, day and hour of any meeting shall be delivered sent not less than thirty (30) days and not more than fifty (50) days before such meeting to each member specified in Article I of these Bylaws.
