Annual Meeting 2003--Second Mailing

A warm invitation is extended to you to attend the Annual Meeting of the Connecticut Conference to be held at the Saxe Middle School in New Canaan, CT. The meeting is October 17, 2003 through October 19, 2003. It begins at 4:30 PM Friday.

The purpose of this mailing (or email mailing) is to provide you with registration and reservation information in preparation for your attendance. Please note on the Registration/Reservation form that you are able to use a credit card this year, if that is convenient for you. Please review all the materials and select those appropriate to your needs.

A guide to the agenda called "What's Happening?" will further inform you. We will be honoring the persons celebrating their 50 and 25 years of ordination at the Saturday night dinner, present the laity award, and then our new Silver Lake Directors, Tim and Anne Hughes will lead us in a time of music and celebration.

Please also review the workshops so that when you arrive at the Annual Meeting you can sign up for the one or two that interest you. Be sure to sign up for your workshop upon arrival at Saxe Middle School.

Following the vote of the 2003 Annual Meeting, we will have youth delegates (one per church) involved in the whole Annual Meeting. If your church has not chosen a youth person under the age of 22 to be a delegate, we strongly encourage you to do so. Please see flyer enclosed (PDF).

Annual Report - Volume II which includes the minutes of the 2002 Annual Meeting, Minutes of General Association, Registrar's Report and Board of Directors' Actions : The report will be available at the Registration Table in New Canaan. If you would like to review it prior to the Annual Meeting, the printed reports will be available electronically from our website. The financial reports for 2002 will be mailed to you upon request to Sue Furness, 125 Sherman Street, Hartford, CT 06105; telephone 860 233-5564 or toll free 866 367-2833, Extension 112.

The Call to the Annual Meeting as well as the proposed 2004 budget will be mailed (or emailed) after September 5th. Please be sure to bring the Call, Proposed Budget, Rules of Procedure, and Resolutions with you to the Annual Meeting.

Other opportunities at the Annual Meeting will be displays, a bookstore, UCC identity items, and a prayer room.
