Aid for Colombia
The Wider Church Ministry Teams of the CT Conference of the United Church of Christ are asking each church in our Conference to respond to the needs of our partners in Colombia. When asked, "What can we do to help?"
one reply was this:
"We need pencils, markers, crayons, stickers, vitamins, bandages and pain relievers".
Pencils & pens, school paper & note pads for school children, maybe some erasers and small sharpeners.
Markers colors and black, large and small.
Crayons (large packages can be divided.)
Stickers kids all over the world love stickers, so any kind, size, shape, design & style are welcome.
Bandages rolls, pads, and Band-Aids, any kind.
Vitamins Multivitamins, a lot for children, but also for adults, and particularly women.
Pain relievers such as Aspirin, Tylenol, Advil, Excedrin, Aleve, Motrin, Ibuprofen (generics are acceptable).
(Please check expiration dates on vitamins and pain relievers to ensure quality.)
All material should be at the churches by October 15th.
Promotional materials (bulletin and newsletter inserts) will be mailed to your churchs secretary in August. Please be sure this information gets to the members of your church.
We are asking you as delegates to arrange for an area in your church for your members to place these much needed supplies. Bring them with you to the Annual Meeting. Boxes will be placed in the display area for your churchs donations.
