Pentecost Brings Congregations Together in Covenant United Black Christians Gather, Remember, and Seize Hope in Hartford |
HARTFORD (09/07/2012) -- The Connecticut Conference launched its new monthly publication CTUCC This Month today, with stories and images from and for the local churches of the state. Distributed to congregational leaders and editors, the hope is that material from it will be included in local church newsletters or Sunday bulletins and help members learn more about what's happening in their sister churches around Connecticut.
The emphasis in the new monthly is stories from local churches or of relevance to their ministries. Activities in New Britain and Hartford are highlighted in the inaugural issue, plus a story about the UCC's new national campaign encouraging local ministries, the "Faith, In" Project.
CTUCC This Month takes several forms: there is a print-ready file that can be inserted into church bulletins or newsletters, all its stories are available (at greater length) online, and it serves as a “clipping service” for newsletter editors. It will arrive eleven times a year, near the beginning of each month (except July), with stories from around our Conference’s churches, nourishment for the spirit, and notice of what’s coming up.
"Whatever format you receive it in, we hope you’ll help us improve it with your feedback and your contributions," said the Rev. Eric S. Anderson, Minister of Communications and Technology and the publication's editor. "We’re always looking for stories to tell."
