HARTFORD (10/01/2007) -- The Rev. Bob Chase will be the keynote speaker at the “Fifty Years and Counting” Synod celebration gathering on November 4th at 3 pm at Asylum Hill Congregational Church in Hartford. He will help us reflect on the General Synod experience and our vision for our next 50 years together as the United Church of Christ.
Known for his energy and vision, Bob was a driving creative force behind Synod in the City, as well as the visual and artistic experience at the 50th Anniversary Synod.
For the past eight years, Bob was Team Leader of the Proclamation, Identity and Communication Ministry in the national setting of the UCC. Along with the Synod celebrations, his accomplishments there included work with the Stillspeaking Initiative, increased circulation of UC News, extensive video productions (three for network television) and the redesign of the UCC website.
This fall, Bob has begun a new ministry as the founding Executive Director for Intersections, a bold initiative of the Collegiate Church in New York City to develop practical strategies to build a culture of peace, justice and reconciliation.
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to hear Bob’s reflections on the United Church of Christ and our first steps onward in the next 50 years of mission and ministry.
