CLEVELAND (04/27/2007) -- Those who plan to attend General Synod 26, to be held at the Hartford Civic Center June 22-26, should register by May 8 in order to receive their materials in the mail before the event. Registrations will continue to be accepted after that time, but those attendees will need to pick up their credentials when they arrive at the Synod, and spend more time than they like waiting in line.
Youth visitors face an earlier deadline of May 1 to ensure that they receive housing at the University of Hartford during Synod. Youth may still register after May 1 at the youth rate and participate in youth events at the Civic Center and downtown.
Also of note is the extension that the Hartford housing bureau has granted for hotel registration at the Synod discount. The new deadline is May 7 -- one day before the Synod advance materials deadline -- after which hotels will use their own policies to set rates.
