Justice Ministries

"What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?" Micah 6:8

Justice and ministries of compassion help to weave us all together in shared purpose. We need each other to make an impact. Our churches are mindful that congregational vitality is present when our churches are working to make a difference where God has planted them. When our churches get engaged in the "public square" it matters.

CTUCC Justice MinistriesThree-legged stool

The Connecticut Conference is currently putting particular focus on its "three-legged stool" of justice work, concentrating on:

Racial Justice

Environmental Justice

Economic Justice

These initiatives invite us to bring God's reign of justice and peace more visible in a world yearning for our leadership and love.

Other justice work

Our commitment to doing justice is not limited to these three important spheres of justice ministries. Our churches are engaged in many other justice initiatives including:

LGBTQ ministries

Public Education Advocacy
