Concerts  on the Corner, the music series of Avon Congregational Church, presents The Rare Byrds Ensemble of Boston! This fabulous young ensemble will appear in a concert entitled “Lost Love- Music of 18th century France  and 21st century America!”   On the program are works by Rameau, Marais, Monteclair and a new work composed in French Baroque style for the occasion by ensemble member Albano Berberi.  Their performance will feature works for the Baroque violin, viola da gamba,  elegant 2-manual harpsichord, and voice. The ensemble performs in the Boston area with the Harvard University Baroque Chamber Orchestra and other ensembles.  They look forward to their return engagement in Avon.
The ensemble consists of Rebecca Nelson- Baroque violin, Benjamin Rechel-viola da gamba, Albano Berberi-harpsichord, and special guest Katie Boardman, soprano.  They hail from the US, Albania and Germany.  Come be mesmerized and transported to another world by the playing of this exquisite, thoughtful ensemble!
The concert will take place in the sanctuary of Avon Congregational Church which is on the National  Registry of Historic Places, and also handicap accessible.  The public is welcome free of charge. A free-will offering to benefit the musicians will be accepted.   A meet-the-performers reception will take place afterward.
